Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band have responded to the sold out demand for their upcoming performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Gilman Opera House by scheduling a "dress rehearsal" show.
The rehearsal show will be held on February 15 and will feature Ono and her core band, composed of Sean Lennon, Yuka Honda and Cornelius (Keigo Oyamada, Hirotaka Shimizu and Yuko Araki).
The February 16th BAM show, which sold out almost instantly, will see Ono and her band joined by special guests, including Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Bette Midler, Martha Wainwright, Scissor Sisters and members of Sonic Youth.
Ono's producer, Jared Geller, said, "It's been incredible to watch the public demand soar for more Yoko Ono, following her wonderful new record, Between My Head and the Sky. Adding this dress rehearsal performance will allow audience members a unique opportunity to witness the creative process of one of the great performers of our time."
Ono's latest album, Between My Head and the Sky, was released in late September and has received four and five-star reviews from publications including Rolling Stone, Q, NME, Pitchfork and others.
