Maher Udda, a leading member of Hamas' military wing in the West Bank, was arrested by the Israeli security forces Saturday night, reports said.
Udda, 47, is accused of having been involved in the killing of over 70 Israelis. He was reportedly one of Hamas' founders in Ramallah.
The arrest, which was revealed Sunday, comes after ten years of hunt for Udda, reports added.
