Eminem has released a new single, "Not Afraid," the first off his forthcoming album, Recovery, which is due out on June 22.
For the track, Shady teamed up with Toronto producer Boi-1da, who is best known for his work with fellow Canadian rapper Drake, Lil Wayne and G-Unit.
According to the rapper, working with different producers helped bring new life to his signature sound.
"I kind of went back to the lab on that whole concept as I started working with different producers," he said in a recent radio interview. "The overall sound and everything changed, and I kind of turned the corner. That's one of the cool things I got a chance to do by working with variety of producers."
Shady will support the new release with an appearance at the U.K.'s T in the Park Festival, set to take place in Kinross, Scotland, on June 10.
