SI International Inc. (SINT) posted second quarter net income of $3.8 million or $0.29 per share, compared to $5.02 million or $0.38 per share in the prior year quarter. Revenues for the quarter advanced to $142.8 million from $118.8 million in the same quarter of last year. Analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial expected the company to report earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $136.41 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead, the company now expects third quarter net income to in the range of $3.9 million - $4.3 million or $0.30 - $0.33 per share, on revenues between $147 million and $153 million. For the full year 2008, the company currently projects net income to range between $15.4 million and $16.4 million or $1.18 per share and $1.26 per share, with the revenues in range of $570 million - $580 million. Wall Street analysts have a consensus earnings estimate of $0.40 per share on revenues of $147.78 million for the third quarter and $1.41 per share on revenues of $565.87 million for the year 2008.
