Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. (DTG) announced that it has named Scott Thompson new President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Gary Paxton. The company added that Thompson will be succeeded by Clifford Buster as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
The company specified that Paxton will join Board of Directors. The company also noted that Paxton will remain a director and provide transition support as Senior Advisor until his retirement December 31, 2008. The company also said that Paxton will then provide consulting services until October 31, 2009.
The Board also announced that Scott Anderson, Senior Executive Vice President, will now responsible for all corporate store operations, global sales and marketing efforts, and franchise operations.
