Virtual Radiologic Corp. (VRAD) reported third quarter net income available to common stockholders on a GAAP basis of $3.56 million or $0.21 per share, compared to net loss of $17.99 million or $2.22 per share in the same quarter last year.
Adjusted net income for the quarter was $3.6 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $3.3 million or $0.19 per share in the prior year quarter.
Total revenues for the quarter increased 21% to $29 million from $24 million in the year-ago quarter. The company specified that the increase in revenue over the third quarter of 2007 resulted primarily from 24% increase in number of hospitals and medical facilities.
