Luminex (LMNX) reported third quarter earnings of $0.08 after the close on Thursday, compared to the loss of $0.05 reported last year. The company also increased its full year 2008 revenue forecast to between $102 million and $107 million, from prior expectations of $95 million to $105 million.
Luminex gapped up sharply Friday and climbed higher late in the afternoon, to finish up by $5.08 at $22.48 on strong volume. The stock broke out to a one-month high and re-crossed both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
