In early Asian trading on Wednesday, the Malaysian ringgit strengthened to 3.4210 against the U.S. dollar. This may be compared to Tuesday's close of 3.4325. If the Malaysian currency advances further, it may target the 3.413 level.
Today, Malaysia will provide September numbers for imports, exports and trade balance. Imports are seen lower by 17.2 percent on year following the 18.6 percent annual contraction in August. Exports are tipped to fall an annual 21 percent after the 19.8 percent decline on year in the previous month. The trade balance is forecast to show a surplus of 9.7 billion ringgit after the 9.57 billion ringgit surplus a month earlier.
