The US Department of Labor will release the customary weekly jobless claims report for the week ended November 14 at 8.30 a.m. ET. After having declined more than expected in the previous week, economists expect the weekly jobless claims to increase modestly to 504,000 for the week.
The greenback stabilized against its major opponents ahead of the report. As of 8:25 am ET, the dollar was worth 88.85 against the yen, 1.6633 versus the pound, 1.0182 per franc and 1.4866 per euro.
