UK's sterling showed weakness against its US and Swiss counterparts in early Asian trading on Friday.
The pound plunged to a new 4-week low of 1.6486 against the Swiss franc before holding steady around 6:30 pm ET, compared to Thursday's close of 1.6584. The pound-franc pair is presently worth 1.6533 with 1.638 seen as the next target level.
Against the greenback, the pound reached a fresh 3-week low of 1.6414 by 8:15 pm ET and this may be compared to yesterday's close of 1.6535. The next downside target for the cable is seen near the 1.626 level.
