(RTTNews) -
The Hong Kong dollar that ended Monday's North American session higher at 7.75 against its US counterpart pared some of its gains in early Asian trading on Tuesday. The domestic currency slipped to 7.7508 versus the greenback by 7:35 pm ET and is thus heading closer to yesterday's weekly low of 7.7511. The pair is presently quoted at 7.7498.
Hong Kong will announce retail sales data for October, with numbers expected to climb 7.6 percent on year by value and 6.5 percent by volume. That follows the 2.4 percent annual hike by value the 1 percent gain by volume in September.
