(RTTNews) - Tuesday, the Turkey statistical office TurkStat announced that the consumer price index or CPI increased 5.08% year-on-year in October, slower than the 5.27% growth in the previous month. Economists expected an increase of 4.6%.
On a monthly basis, the CPI climbed 2.41% in October. Economists were looking for an increase of 2.0%.
Separately, the statistical office said, the producer price index or PPI increased 0.19% year-on-year in October, after rising 0.47% in September. Economists expected an increase of 1%. Month-on-month, the PPI rose 0.28% in October, slower than the 0.9% expected by economists.
