T.I. To Wed After Prison?

T.I. is just shy of seven months into a one-year prison sentence and may be tying the knot as soon as he returns to the free world. The rapper's girlfriend, former Xscape singer Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, confirmed that she has been planning their wedding. The entertainers have two children together and, according to Cottle, currently keep in touch via e-mail and the phone every day. "[The wedding will be] Sometime [next] year," she said.

Jay-Z Scores His First #1 Hit With "Empire State Of Mind"

Jay-Z has hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with a song of his own for the first time. His "Empire State of Mind," which features Alicia Keys, reached the top of the chart this week. Hov has been a part of other collaborations that have hit the chart in the number one spot, but none of the songs from his own albums have made it, until now. "Really, 'Empire State of Mind' is about inspiration, it's about hope," Jay-Z said. "I think that's what connects with people."

Chris Brown Gets Favorable Report From Judge

Chris Brown's appearance in a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday resulted in a favorable report for the singer, who is already well on his way to fulfilling the terms of his sentence for assault. According to Brown's attorney, the singer has already completed 100 hours of community labor in Richmond, Virginia, picking up roadside garbage. He has also fulfilled seven of his 52 ordered domestic violence classes.

The project comes straight from a hip-hop family that includes Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda, Tyga, Jae Millz, Shanell, Lil Chuckee and Lil Twist. The album boasts 14 tracks and guest appearances by Lloyd, Birdman, Gucci Mane and R&B singer, Pleasure P.

Janet Jackson To Debut Video

Janet Jackson confirmed that she will debut her new "Make Me" music video tonight during an interview on ABC's 20/20. The track is part of Janet's new Number Ones collection, which was released on November 17. The song is a tribute to her brother Michael's 1979 hit, "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," and includes portions of the track. The video features choreography and production in the style of MJ's later works.
