Alter Bridge's Myles Kennedy Readies Solo Debut

Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy updated fans on the status of his new solo album via his MySpace blog this week. While his band members Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips have all stayed busy participating in the Creed reunion tour, Kennedy has been spending long hours in the studio. "I have been locked away working on my record," Kennedy said on MySpace. "It's been an amazing experience."

Who's Roger Daltrey Planning Autobiography

Who frontman Roger Daltrey says he is planning to write an autobiography. The singer, who is currently on his Use It Or Lose It tour, said he feels that he has lived through enough experiences to write a memoir, though he admits he may not be ready to write about the more "salacious" stuff the public seems to be so interested in reading. "It's probably time," he said in an interview. "Just the story of my life and the things I've done, y'know, it's kind of interesting."

Joan Jett Says Kristen Stewart Does Her Own Singing In Runaways

Joan Jett recently told MTV News that Kristen Stewart does all her own singing for her role as the "I Love Rock N' Roll" singer in the upcoming film, The Runaways. "She's singing. She's definitely doing the singing, yeah," Jett said. "And during the filming, she was playing guitar." Jett herself will not be appearing in the film - which is based on the all-girl '70s punk band she was in before her solo career took off - because she "didn't want to."

Kings Of Leon Up For ITunes Song Of The Year Award

Digital music retailer iTunes has announced a short list of nominations for its Best Album and Song of the Year honors, with Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" among the nominations for top song. Other nominations for Song of the Year include the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow," Animal Collective's "My Girls," Biffy Clyro's "That Golden Rule," Dizzee Rascal's "Bonkers," La Roux's "In for the Kill" and Phoenix's "1901."

STP Cancel Tour Dates To Finish Album

Stone Temple Pilots are postponing a string of upcoming concerts to give themselves more time to work on their new album. STP have said they need more time in the studio to finish their yet-to-be-titled forthcoming album, their first since 2001's Shangri-La Dee Da. All concerts after a November 24 show in Halifax, Nova Scotia, have been canceled and will be rescheduled at later dates.
