(RTTNews) -  INX Inc. (INXI: News ) announced that it has received $1.75 million contract from Washington State Department of Ecology for communication infrastructure upgrade. This contract began July 2009 and is slated to finish in October 2009.

Washington State Department of Ecology has awarded INX the contract to develop and design a new communications network. The company said that the network design is based on Cisco technology and next-generation Nexus Switches will provide high-availability and redundancy to the network and a high level of resiliency at the edge.
With the increase in adoption of virtualization technology, the network architecture will leverage latest developments in switching infrastructure to support virtualization strategies at Ecology for future scalability.
