(RTTNews) -  Accenture plc (ACN: News ) reported net income of $301.4 million or $0.39 per share for the fourth quarter, compared to $543.1 million or $0.67 per share in the prior year quarter.

Excluding the restructuring charge, earnings for the fourth quarter were $0.63 per share for the latest quarter.

Net revenues for the fourth quarter were $5.15 billion, compared with $6.00 billion for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008, a decrease of 14% in U.S. dollars and 7% in local currency.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.63 per share on revenue of $5.14 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2010, Accenture expects net revenues to be in the range of $5.3 billion to $5.5 billion. Street expects revenue of $5.54 billion for the quarter.

For the full fiscal year 2010, Accenture expects net revenue growth to be in the range of negative 3% to positive 1% in local currency. The company expects earnings per share to be in the range of $2.64 to $2.72. Analysts project earnings of $2.77 per share on revenue of $21.99 billion for the year.
