Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC:
News ) said that it has appointed Edward Swallow as vice president of business development for the Information Systems sector's Civil Systems division. Previously, Swallow was vice president of business acquisition process and proposal operations for the Information Systems sector. Earlier, he was vice president of capture and proposal for Northrop Grumman's former Information Technology sector, and director of strategic development for the Information Superiority operating unit within the company's TASC business unit. Swallow joined Northrop Grumman in 2001.
Prior to joining the company, Swallow was vice president of business development for the government services group of Steven Myers and Associates. Earlier in his career, he was vice president and director of the Advanced Programs division for Space Applications Corporation.
In a separate press release, Northrop Grumman announced that it has named Larry Dodgen corporate lead executive or CLE for company business in Huntsville, Ala. Dodgen replaces Dan Montgomery, Northrop Grumman's Huntsville CLE for the past five years, who has announced his plans to retire. He will also promote and coordinate the activities of all Northrop Grumman sectors with local business and community interests.
Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Dodgen served more than 34 years in the U.S. Army. His final assignment was serving as Commander of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command. Previously, Dodgen was deputy assistant secretary of defense for policy and missions and director of the Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense Organization. He was the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command.
