(RTTNews) -  Universal Truckload Services, Inc. (UACL: News ) posted third quarter net income of $1.7 million or $0.11 per share, compared to $5.4 million or $0.34 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Total operating revenues for the quarter decreased to $128.5 million from $213.0 million in the previous year quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.12 per share on revenues of $132.27 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
