(RTTNews) -  Changyou.com Ltd. (CYOU: News ) said its third-quarter net income increased to US$37.79 million from US$32.08 million in the year-ago period. Net income per ADS for the quarter improved to US$0.71 from US$0.68 a year earlier.

Non-GAAP net income, excluding share-based compensation expenses, for the recent quarter was US$41.35 million, or US$0.77 per ADS compared with US$33.33 million or US$0.70 per ADS last year. On average, 7 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of US$0.69 for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes one-time items.

Total revenues for the third quarter rose to US$68.68 million from US$54.60 million in the comparable period. Seven analysts estimated revenues of US$69.39 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Changyou estimates non-GAAP net income to be between US$41.5 million and US$42.5 million. Also, the company expects non-GAAP earnings per ADS for the fourth quarter to be between US$0.78 and US$0.80. Seven analysts estimate fourth-quarter earnings per share of US$0.73.

In addition, Changyou estimates total revenues for the fourth quarter of 2009 to be between US$69.0 million and US$71.0 million. Six analysts expect revenues of US$73.65 million for the quarter
