(RTTNews) -  Tuesday, True Religion Apparel Inc. (TRLG: News ) reported third-quarter net income of $14.1 million or $0.58 per share, compared to net income of $15.4 million or $0.64 per share in the same quarter last year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.59 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total sales for the quarter were $82.4 million, up 3.8% from $79.4 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $84.62 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the full year 2009, the company expects net sales in the range of $295 million - $300 million, compared to the prior guidance range of $293 million - $300 million. Earnings is expected to be in the range of $1.82 - $1.86 per share, compared to previous guidance of $1.76 - $1.84 per share. Analysts currently anticipate the company to earn $1.88 per share on revenue of $303.07 million for the quarter.
