(RTTNews) -  Freddie Mac (FRE: News ) Friday reported a third quarter net loss attributable to common stockholders of $6.3 billion, compared to a loss of $25.3 billion in the year-ago period. On a per share basis, loss for the recent quarter was $1.94 per share.

Total revenues for the period were $3.38 billion, compared to negative revenues of $9.55 billion in the same quarter last year. Net interest income for the quarter was $4.46 billion, compared to $1.84 billion in last year quarter.
