(RTTNews) -  YM BioSciences Inc. (YMI: News ) said results from a study evaluating nimotuzumab showed that the drug nimotuzumab in combination with metronomic chemotherapy is safe and effective in an advanced triple-negative breast cancer preclinical model.

In this study nimotuzumab, an epidermal growth factor receptor targeting antibody, was administered twice weekly in combination with metronomic cyclophosphamide.
In addition, the combination resulted in a significant survival advantage over cyclophosphamide alone, the company said.
