Microsoft Corp. (MSFT:
News ) has had discussions with News Corp (NWSA) over a plan, which would involve News Corp being paid to de-index its news websites from Google Inc (GOOG:
News ), the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the situation.
News Corp, which owns papers as Wall Street Journal of the US to The Sun of the UK, started the discussions, which were at an early stage, the report said. Microsoft reportedly discussed with other online publishers about removing their sites from Google's search engine.
