(RTTNews) -  QAD Inc. (QADI: News ) reported third-quarter net income of $4.75 million compared to a net loss of $1.82 million last year. Earnings per share was $0.15 compared to a loss of $0.06 per share a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.02 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue decreased to $56.24 million from $67.77 million prior year. Analysts expected revenue of $53.80 million for the quarter.
For fourth quarter, the company currently expects total revenue of approximately $57 million, and profit of about $0.13 per share.

For fiscal 2010, the company currently expects total revenue of approximately $220 million and profit of about $0.15 per share.
