(RTTNews) -  T-Mobile USA, Inc., the U.S. operation of Deutsche Telekom AG's (DT: News ) Mobile Communications Business, reported first-quarter net income of $322 million, down from $462 million in the previous year.

Total revenues, including service, equipment, and other revenues, were $5.40 billion, up from $5.19 billion in the first quarter of 2008. Service revenues rose to $4.77 billion from prior year's $4.57 billion.

Blended Average Revenue Per User, or ARPU, was $48 in the first quarter, compared to $51 last year.
T-Mobile USA reported operating income before depreciation and amortization, or OIBDA of $1.38 billion, down from $1.44 billion last year.
