Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter |
"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," the historico-action film in the vampire genre from director Timur Bekmambetov ("Six Degrees of Celebration," "The Irony of Fate 2") is set for theatrical release on June 22.
The plot centers on a fictionalized account of the 16th president's spare time activity: killing the vampires and their slave owning helpers who killed his mother.
Benjamin Walker stars as Lincoln, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as his wife, Rufus Sewell and Lincoln's arch-nemesis, Jimmi Simpson as Lincoln's assistant and friend and Dominic Cooper, Lincoln's vampire hunting mentor.
Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote the book upon which the film is based, also wrote the screenplay of the 20th Century Fox distributed film.
"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is rated PG-13 for fantastical violence. |
