The Expendables 2 |
"The Expendables 2," the ensemble action film from director Simon West ("The Mechanic," "When a Stranger Calls") is due in theatres August 17.
The second iteration of the franchise re-unites the previous cast—Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), along with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan)—who undertake a mission from Mr. Church (Bruce Willis).
The job, which appeared to be a cakewalk, turns out to be more harrowing than anyone imagined. When one of their crew is killed in action, the rag-tag bunch becomes hell bent on revenge.
Sylvester Stallone and Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay for the Nu Image/Millennium films distributed flick. |
