"ParaNorman," the 3D stop-motion adventure film from director Sam Fell ("The Tale of Despereaux") and Chris Butler is due in theatres August 17.
The plot centers on Norman Babcock (Kodi Smit-McPhee), a young outcast who can speak to the dead. He must take on zombies, ghosts and dopey adults in order to defeat the ancient curse which has been placed upon his town.
Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Elaine Stritch, Bernard Hill and Jodelle Ferland all lend their vocal talents to the animated pic.
Butler wrote the screenplay for the Laika (creators of "Coraline") production.
"ParaNorman" is rated PG for scary action and images, thematic elements, some rude humor and language. |
