The EP “Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals,” recorded by the original cast of the show “Glee,” hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart on June 26, 2010. The release followed “Glee: The Music, Volume 3 Showstoppers” from earlier that year and includes the show’s popular cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'.”

When the EP hit number one, it claimed the top spot from “To the Sea” by Jack Johnson. The “Glee” singers held on at the top spot through July 2, 2010 when “Thank Me Later” by Drake hit number one.

The release was widely credited with helping revive the career of classic rockers Journey by opening up their music to a youthful new audience. Frontman Steve Perry told Yahoo! Music he was thrilled with the exposure, saying:

"Glee has opened up a international [sic] catalog of songwriting and introduced those songs to a whole new generation that would have otherwise never heard them."
