Justin Bieber hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart with “My World 2.0,” the second half of his debut release, on April 10, 2010. The release features his smash hit single “Baby” along with “Somebody To Love” and “U Smile.”

When the release hit number one for the first time, it grabbed the top spot from “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum. He held on through April 17 when his mentor Usher hit number one with “Raymond Vs. Raymond.” Bieber would later hit number one again in the two following months.

“Baby” was co-written by Ludacris, who told MTV that when he heard the musical track he knew it was a hit, but he had to turn back the clock to pen the lyric:

“I just had to figure out how I could get on a record with a 15-year-old. So I sat there and said, 'Let me reminisce on the past,' and that's basically how I stepped on the record.”
