A barrage of disappointing data sent stocks lower today.
Manufacturing activity in the mid-Atlantic region contracted in June. Sales of existing homes fell 1.5% in May. Meanwhile, the number of people filing for first time unemployment benefits ticked lower last week. And Bed, Bath, and Beyond plunged 16% following its earnings report.
