Stocks rallied throughout the session, spending the day in the green Tuesday. Consumer confidence continued to deteriorate in June, worsening for a 4th straight month. Meanwhile, green shoots emerged from the housing sector; home prices rose 1.3% in April. In corporate news, News Corp. is considering spinning off its publishing assets into a separate unit. And Microsoft has agreed to acquire Yammer Inc., an enterprise social networks provider.
