Wall Street's nervousness is palpable at the start of this shortened trading session. Bob Diamond has resigned as CEO of Barclays. Microsoft will occur a $6.2 billion charge, reflecting the weaker-than-expected performance at its Online Services business. Boeing forecasts a $4.5 trillion market for 34,000 new airplanes over the next 20 years.
Individual automakers are scheduled to release their monthly U.S. sales results for June. And Avnet announced the acquisition of Altron GmbH & Co.
