New Polls Show Obama With Widening Lead

Three new polls show President Obama widening his lead over Mitt Romney. The national surveys show Obama leading by seven to nine percent. Union leaders don't like their lack of input in the upcoming Democratic National Convention, and plan their own "shadow convention" in Philadelphia. The United States said it would increase pressure on Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad by implementing a new series of sanctions.
