The congressional Budget Office is out with a new report saying inaction by Congress and the White House on the pending end of tax cuts and forced spending reductions will hike unemployment and throw the country into near-recession for years. Missouri Congresaman Todd Akin left the door open to his withdraw from the state's Senate race. A federal district court, meanwhile, allowed Texas to enforce its ban on funding for Planned Parenthood until that ban can be tested in a full trial.
