The stock market drifted through mixed territory Friday, with word that Congressional leaders pledged to cooperate with President Obama and each other on the fiscal cliff never touching off a major trader reaction. The Federal Reserve reported that U.S. industrial production dropped in October. And Hostess Brands made good on its threat to close operations after striking bakers refused to return to work.
