Lollapalooza 2009 was an unqualified success, as more than 200,000 people turned out to Chicago's Grant Park to see 130 bands and DJ’s at the nation’s premier music festival.

Worries about the recession and a lineup that some called “short on star power” proved unwarranted….the sold-out Chicago summer staple was better than ever.
