Sammy Hagar To Appear On History Channel's American Restoration

Sammy Hagar is set to star on an upcoming episode, "Right Here, Rum Now," of the History Channel's program, American Restoration.

During the episode, Sammy hires Rick Dale to help restore a vintage refrigerator into a rum dispenser, which Hagar dubs the "Rumerator."

The show is also a promotion for Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, the latest addition to Hagar's alcohol empire. Distilled on Maui by Mark Nigbur of Pau Vodka, the Red Rocker launched the drink in Hawaii last November and it was introduced Stateside in February.

According to a press release, "Unlike other premium rums, which follow a standard one-year maturation period for the cane, (cane used in) Sammy's Beach Bar Rum matures for a full two years, giving the sugar from the cane its intense character."

American Restoration, featuring Sammy Hagar, airs September 26 at 9:30 PM EST on the History Channel.
