Smashing Pumpkins To Re-Issue Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness

The Smashing Pumpkins have confirmed that their 1995 double album, Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness, is scheduled for a re-issue.

According to Amazon, the two-disc set will be expanded to a five-CD and DVD box set, a four-LP vinyl box set, a double-CD edition and a deluxe download.

Special features include new cover art and two books of liner notes (some written by the band's frontman, Billy Corgan). The deluxe CD box includes 64 bonus tracks of unreleased or alternate material from the recording sessions, as well as DVD video footage of a live show filmed at London's Brixton Academy in 1996.

In addition, the released tracks "have been painstakingly remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by Bob Ludwig."

The Mellon Collie re-issues are due December 3.
