Contrary to recent reports, Trace Adkins and wife Rhonda have "amicably" settled their divorce.
Radar Online recently reported that they had exclusively obtained new legal documents showing that Rhonda Adkins had filed an order of voluntary dismissal on June 1. Trace Adkins' attorney, Larry Hayes Jr., calls the report "inaccurate."
"The Adkins have settled their divorce amicably. Rhonda and Trace made this decision together in the best interest of their family," Hayes Jr. says in a statement. "All that remains is for the court to approve the agreements that have been executed by them both. An updated petition seeking such court approval will be filed in the coming days."
A source at the Chancery Court in Williamson Country, Tennessee, tells Taste of Country that the Adkins' divorce filing has been expunged from the public record.
Trace and Rhonda Adkins were married for 16 years before Rhonda Adkins filed for divorce in March of 2014, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking primary custody of the couple's three daughters.
