'The Avengers' Remains Number One As "Battleship" Sinks
5/21/2012 2:39 PM ET
A few new releases proved to be no match for "The Avengers," which continued to dominate the box office with a $55 million third weekend intake, enough to easily finish atop the charts. With an enormous budget, "Battleship" was expected to at least challenge "The Avengers," though it only hauled in $25 million and looks to be a fairly big bust for distributor Universal. Meanwhile, Sacha Baron Cohen's "The Dictator" put together a decent opening of $17 million.

Rogers Waters recently sat down with interviewer Steve Kroft on ABC's 60 Minutes to discuss the massive success of his current The Wall tour. In the interview he discusses how the music has stayed relevant and why he decided to leave Pink Floyd. "I think it strikes some chords that may be just beneath surface in most of us. What it's about is the walls that exist between human beings, whether on a family level or on a global level."

'The Avengers' Should Top 'Battleship,' Remain Number One At Box Office
Even with a few prominent wide releases, it looks like "The Avengers" is in position to land as the number one movie for the third consecutive weekend as it continues to storm through the box office record books. The biggest competition for "The Avengers" this weekend will come from "Battleship," a major action release starring Liam Neeson that ranks as one of the most expensive productions of the year. R-rated comedy "The Dictator" should also make a dent this weekend at the box office and romantic comedy "What to Expect When You're Expecting" is another title that should find its target audience without much other genre competition. ....

'The Dictator' Is Shameless But Funny
5/17/2012 1:51 PM ET
If you never bought into Sacha Baron Cohen's style of humor before, "The Dictator" isn't a great place to start. Like Cohen's "Bruno," "The Dictator" takes a very funny starting point and is nearly drowned by Cohen's love of shock value and poop jokes, though there are still the occasional flashes of brilliance that make Cohen one of our best on-screen comedians.
