Willie Nelson Contributes Track To Occupy Album


Willie Nelson will be appearing on the forthcoming Occupy Wall Street album Occupy This Album: A Compilation of Music By, For and Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street Movement and the 99%.

Nelson joins a large and varied line-up of artists contributing to the compilation, including Crosby and Nash, Yoko Ono, Debbie Harry, Devo, Jackson Browne, Tom Morello, Thievery Corporation, MOGWAI, Third Eye Blind, Ladytron, Our Lady Peace, Warren Haynes, Yo La Tengo, Lucinda Williams, the Guthrie Family, Toots and the Maytals, Loudon Wainwright III, and DJ Logic, as well as a contribution by filmmaker Michael Moore.

All proceeds from the album, which is dedicated to the Occupy movement that began in the financial district of New York on September 17, 2011, will directly benefit the movement.

Willie Nelson is currently on tour, with dates scheduled in the southeast U.S. through mid-February.
