The Ronnie Wood Show, a one-hour U.K.-based program hosted by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, has hit American airwaves in New York City beginning January 29.
The program features the Stones' axeman playing music new and old while recounting stories of legendary artists he has encountered in the biz including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others. He also welcomes into the studio a number of friends and fellow musicians.
Wood issued a statement explaining his aspirations for the expansion onto U.S. air.
"I'm so excited to have my own radio show in America," he said. "I love going down the archives every week playing some of my favorite music of all time, while reminiscing and taking a trip down memory lane. It's more than a music show, it's an education, so sit back and enjoy the ride!"
