Noel Gallagher has announced that the first track from his collaboration with dance act The Amorphous Androgynous will be released on March 12.
The song, called "Shoot A Hole In The Sun," will be released on his own Sour Mash label as the B-side to his latest single "Dream On." It also appeared on The Amorphous Androgynous' self-titled debut album, which was released last fall and sold over 550,000 copies.
The former Oasis guitarist is currently working on the follow-up to his band High Flying Birds' self-titled debut album in addition to working on his collaboration with Amorphous Anonymous, of which he said: "It's got like 18 tracks on it, some of it's krautrock, some of it's soul, some of it's funk and that's just the first song."
He will be touring with High Flying Birds and accompaniment from the Crouch End Festival Chorus and Hertfordshire Chorus from February 13, with dates scheduled in Manchester, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Glasgow, London, and Birmingham and support from Reverend and The Makers at various points in the tour.
