Pharmacy services company CVS Caremark Corp. (CVS) said Friday that it appointed Lisa Bisaccia, currently Vice President, human resources, as its Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective January 1, 2010. Bisaccia will succeed Mike Ferdinandi who has announced his retirement from the company's service.
Lisa Bisaccia has more than 30 years of human resources experience and she has been with Caremark since 2004. She also had experience in human resource consulting in the banking, health care and not-for-profit business segments.
The company noted that Lisa has led major human resources initiatives including enhancing compensation practices, restructuring human resources processing functions and also managed all human resources support for the retail business.
Prior to joining CVS Caremark, Lisa Bisaccia held a senior human resources position with FleetBoston Financial as the head of compensation and benefits. Currently, she is a member of the Human Resources Policy Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management.
CVS Caremark said, after retirement, Ferdinandi plans to remain actively engaged in the human resources and business community through corporate board directorship roles. Earlier he has been with the Woonsocket, Rhode Island-based company for more than ten years in various senior human resources positions.
CVS closed Thursday's regular trading at $31.5 on the NYSE.
