Mary J. Blige Beat By Susan Boyle, Debuts At #2
12/31/2009 2:31 PM ET

Mary J. Blige's new album, Stronger With Each Tear, had to settle for a number two debut, as Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream held onto its number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart for the fifth week in a row. Blige moved 330,000 copies of her album, while Boyle moved another 510,000.

Boyle has dominated the number one spot since her album made its debut last month. Her sales totals from just under a month and a half almost equal the entire year's sales for 2009's champ, Taylor Swift's Fearless.

The only other top 10 debut this week was We Are Young Money, the collaboration album from Lil Wayne's Young Money label, which came in at the number nine spot.

Other albums making the top 10 include Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas at number three, Alicia Keys' The Element of Freedom at number four, Taylor Swift's Fearless at number five, Lady Gaga's The Fame at number six, Justin Bieber's My World EP at number seven, Carrie Underwood's Play On at number eight and Michael Bublé's Crazy Love at number ten.
