Primus frontman Les Claypool has signed on to play a tribute to Canadian prog-rock legends Rush at the upcoming Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala at the Toronto Centre for the Arts on March 28.

Claypool will pay tribute to the "Tom Sawyer" rockers with a rendition of "Spirit Of Radio" from the group's 1980 Permanent Waves album. Tickets for the event are on sale now through Ticketmaster and start at $110.

Though Claypool has confirmed summer appearances at the Bonnaroo and Coachella festivals, the new announcement finds the legendary bassist in a self-described "state of flux." In an interview before his February performance in Lake Tahoe, California, Les admitted that he is not sure what is next.

"I've got a bunch of different balls in the air and I'm not sure which one," he told Tahoe.com. "I use balls in the air or pots on the stove, I'm not sure which metaphor I want to use, but I'm not really sure right now."

"It's funny, I've been doing interviews all day and it's 'What's next from Claypool?'" he added. "I'm going to Europe and I'm going to Coachella and Bonnaroo and I'm not really sure after that. I have ideas for things but nothing I can really talk about yet because I'm not sure what I'm gonna do."
