U2 played a song from the score of their upcoming Broadway play, "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark," at a recent tour stop in Europe.

The Irish band played the tune "Boy Falls From the Sky" at a stop in Coimbra, Portugal on Sunday. This song is one of the tracks that Bono and The Edge wrote for their upcoming Broadway musical that is directed by Julie Taymor.

Although it was the first time U2 played the song, Sunday's performance wasn't its public debut. "Boy Falls From the Sky" was performed by singer-songwriter and actor Reeve Carney on Good Morning America on September 10 for the launch of "Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark."

The play debuts on December 21 at Foxwoods Theater in New York City, with previews beginning on November 14.

U2, meanwhile, has one show left on the European leg of its current tour before hitting New Zealand and Australia in November and December.
