Elvis' Billboard Record Beat By TV Show Glee

Elvis Presley may be the King of Rock and Roll but he's no long the King of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Elvis' longstanding record of 108 singles appearing on the chart will be upended this week by none other than that cast of Fox's hit teen musical show Glee.

This week, the Glee cast will have six new songs enter the Hot 100 chart. This will push them to a whopping 113 single appearances since their cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" first entered the chart in 2009.

Since then they have made waves on the Hot 100 with their various covers including "California Gurls" by Katy Perry and "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum.

And though the show has had its critics, they are starting to prove their relevance in the bigger pop music picture. In just a few short years they have not only passed The King of Rock but also the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles.
