Dollar General Corp. (DG) reported fourth quarter adjusted net income of $0.87 per share after the bell Wednesday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.82. Full year 2012 adjusted EPS is expected to be between $2.65 and $2.75, compared to the consensus estimate of $2.37.
Dollar General gapped up Thursday and has since risen higher on above average volume. Shares are now up 2.09 at $46.84. The stock has been gaining ground for nearly a month and has set a new high for the year.
